So, is Worldwide Brands legit and worth the cost? Let’s find out…

Is Worldwide Brands a scam?

If you do a quick Google search, you’ll find dozens of Worldwide Brands reviews across the internet, both good and bad. Despite what others may say, Worldwide Brands is not one of those “get rich quick schemes.” So, if you’re planning to become a millionaire overnight, I’d stop reading right now and spend your time elsewhere.

As a valued Worldwide Brands member for several years, I can eliminate the guesswork for you and tell you that their service isn’t a scam. If you’re willing to do the research, the service is going to work.

So why do some call it a scam?

I’m not really sure. I know that people that fail tend to complain a lot. The service is not perfect, but it’s definitely not a scam.

I was able to find several testimonials from actual Worldwide Brands members. Success stories may be rare, but they do exist:

How does Worldwide Brands work?

Prior to making an important decision and paying for the membership, it’s important to understand what they are and what they offer.

Worldwide Brands is a wholesale directory that connects you to millions of products from hundreds of legitimate drop shippers, wholesalers, and liquidators. Since all of the suppliers undergo a strict verification process, a lot of the risk is eliminated.

While you can find suppliers on your own for free, you have no way of checking if the suppliers are legitimate. That’s where a service like Worldwide Brands steps in.

Once you find a supplier to work with, you’ll be able to contact them and make your first order.

My experience with Worldwide Brands

When I first heard about Worldwide Brands several years ago, I was very skeptical about using and paying for a service like this. I always thought, heck I can find my own suppliers for free. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

Having to find suppliers was a big hassle for me and usually ended with me being scammed and receiving counterfeit products.

Enough was enough. I decided to cough up the money and purchase a Worldwide Brands lifetime membership. The directory was ridiculously easy to use. For me, Worldwide Brands eliminated the cold calling and reduced the risk for me.

Their directory connected me to suppliers that I still do business with today. I don’t have to worry about being scammed. The service was what I was looking for and helped me turn my business around, especially when I was just starting out and had very little experience selling online.

That’s my story. Hopefully, you’re still awake.

Can I make a profit?

I must have received a hundreds of emails by now asking me if there’s a potential to make money using their service.

There are several factors that are going to impact your profit potential. It all comes down to the niche you’re targeting and the products you’re selling. Generally, popular branded items are going to have a lot of competition, which will also affect your profit margins.

The idea is to target a niche with low competition. However, this is easier said than done. Research is your best friend here.

I’ve seen profit margins as high as 70%. I’ve also seen products that are actually priced higher than at your local retail store.

Worldwide Brands price

If you can’t pay for the membership in full, they allow you to pay for it via three monthly installments. You’d pay $99 for the first month, $110 for the second month, and $110 for the third month. It ends up being a little more expensive if you go with this option, though.

The membership fee can be paid using all major credit cards and PayPal.

How do I cancel my membership?

If you paid for the membership in full, you’ll have 60 days to request a full refund. If you’re on the installments option, than you only have 30 days to request a full refund.

In either case, you can contact customer support at [email protected] to submit your refund request.

Worldwide Brands pros
  • You only pay for the membership once and receive lifetime access to the service.
  • There are no order minimums. You can order as much or as little as you want.
  • Their directory features over 14 million products from 8,000 different suppliers, wholesalers, and liquidators.
  • Worldwide Brands has a strict verification process for all of the suppliers that are listed in their directory. This verification process eliminates scammers and counterfeiters.
  • Worldwide Brands is the only publisher of wholesale product sourcing information that’s certified by eBay.
  • No matter where you live, you’ll be able to find suppliers that’ll work with you.
  • Their directory is constantly updated on a weekly basis with new products and suppliers.
Worldwide Brands cons
  • Worldwide Brands isn’t cheap. Coughing up $269 isn’t going to be something everyone is willing to do.
  • A vast majority of the suppliers will ask you for a resale certificate for wholesale orders. You can obtain a resale certificate from your state taxation office (most have an online website that you can request it from).
  • If you have a lot of time on your hands, you can search for suppliers on your own. However, most suppliers you find on Google and other search engines aren’t verified and can potentially scam you.
Is Worldwide Brands worth the investment?

There isn’t a clear answer that I can give you here. It all depends on if you’re willing to spend money on a service like this and if you’ll be able to benefit from it. If your answer is “no” to either question, than the service isn’t for you. Additionally, if you’re going to spend the time researching, cold calling businesses, and are willing to take risks, than their service isn’t for you.

However, if you value your time, don’t have time for cold calling, and aren’t a big risk taker, you’ll be able to benefit from Worldwide Brands. Their lifetime membership will pay for itself fairly quickly and you’ll have more time to focus on your business.

Last time I checked they were doing a promotion that will give you a $30 discount off your membership fee. I’ve included the banner below.

  1. World Wide Brands is a total scam. The owner Chris, tries to get you to buy all these packages he so called doesn’t get paid to advertise. I took his online course online for 279.99 only to find out it was the setup to buy his one on one course which is 2 years for 2,999.99. This site is a never ending money vacuum!!!! Be careful stay far away!!!!!

    • John:

I have to agree that these type of services do advertise heavily in order to make more money. However, you do not have to sign up for any of the ads (although, they can be annoying at times). As for their wholesale directory, I feel that it is worth the money – just try not to get sucked into the ads that you have mentioned.

Thanks for sharing your feedback John!

  2. Admir, you mentioned in the cons that it is almost impossible to make a profit on ebay and amazon using WWB. Does this include shopify? Also, how is this compared to Salehoo as far as quality?

    • Kaipo:

I am not a big fan of selling on eBay, Amazon, or any other third-party marketplace because you are not in control of what you can sell. In other words, if you sell popular branded items, your account will probably get suspended / limited. Furthermore, the high final value / commission fees make it difficult to make a profit. The only sellers that benefit from these kinds of marketplace platforms are counterfeiters and those that make their own products.

Now, if you use an online store builder like Shopify, you no longer have to pay final value fees and you can sell whatever you want without someone coming in and suspending your store. Whether you use Shopify or any other online store builder, I feel that you can make a good profit by selling Worldwide Brands products (or products purchased elsewhere) on your own online store.

Worldwide Brands and SaleHoo offer a similar service. The only real difference is cost and product selection. For instance, SaleHoo costs $67 a year whereas WWB costs $299 for a lifetime membership (or $269 with the discounted link in the review). While I prefer WWB, it will come down to user preference and available budget.

Sorry for the long reply. I hope that answers your questions. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  3. I want to thank you for taking the time to write this comprehensive review. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation on the internet fueled by everyone’s need and rush to have immediate straightforward answers. Like everything in life, you will get back what you put on it. Lots of work and marketing are needed to succeed with eCommerce.

  4. You mentioned that having an online store in conjunction with Worldwide Brands is better than selling via eBay or Amazon. Who would you best recommend for building an online store that would work well Worldwide Brands?

    • Daniel,

I recommend opening an online store of your own because you will be able to keep more profits and avoid unnecessary Amazon or eBay fees. It may take some advertising to get traffic, but it’s all worth it at the end. I suggest taking a look at Shopify for building a store.

  5. Does Worldwide Brands have a decent amount of sellers in the USA? Also, is it easy to find them without having to search for a long period of time? I would rather buy products from people in the USA because that is where I will be doing my advertising at and I would like my customers to get their products as fast as they can. Instead of having it come from a place like China and take almost a month to get to them.
